Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Wait. I am discussing Stuff I Am Accomplishing in Bitches and beauty maintenance in Natter? Is this an April Foolery?

my dinner of grilled salmon and avocado with lemon was the yum.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I picked my clothes. A sheer empire waist, black with a blue floral print top over a camisole, bootcut black pants, black boots with a moderate heel, and my oxblood full length leather coat.

I feel better already.

A bit.

I have to confess to going to the most convenient place and seeing how it goes.
I think I am going to head over to a slightly trendier neighborhood and then do pretty much this. I forgot just how lucky I was to have a nail and wax place that I adored for the last eight years.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

oh, and status report. I got drycleaning pick-up and dropped off. groceries purchased, check deposited, toilitries purchased, library hours checked, and some walking in.

I think my getting-stuff-done-eness has died.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I have been fairly productive today in a way I don't want to be. I'm at work. Still. And, I'll be here again tomorrow. Big Reports due Monday. Blargh.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Emmett's finger was too sore to put in his baseball mitt, but we got him in uniform anyway and Elliot, our manager, found ways for him to practice. (Baserunning, pitching - with somebody standing next to him catching the ball back from the catcher).

I suspect that Victoria's secret? Shoddy underwire craftmanship.

Framing stuff is EXPENSIVE. My head screams at the amount of dosh I'm dropping to frame two pieces, one handpainted from the hills of Jamaica, and one printed and handpainted from India.

The guy did his best to talk me down off the ceiling, but still. Ouch.
