If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

My god, Jill Carroll's been released. I have to say I really did not expect that ever to happen. What a relief, for her and her family, and all of us, really.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Damn, that's good to hear, Brenda. Really good.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Wow -- I really had given up hoping for that!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Damn, that's good to hear, Brenda. Really good.

Yeah, that's great news!

It's weird - in a way, her story is rather insignificant when compared to the tens of thousands of people who've been killed, the many more who've been maimed, tortured, etc., but her plight really did move me. Maybe it was seeing her on TV, begging for her life, that freaked me out - more than what abstract death figures usualy do.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Happy Birthday libkitty!

How did they decribe the results? The numbers Kadima, the Likud, and Liberman ("Israel beytenoo", "Israel is our home") got?

Mostly, I've seen headlines that were something like "Olmert claims victory," and then the numbers of seats listed somewhere in the article.
