You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Oh, billytea! So happy for you! Details, please!

there are other Bitches finding people too

Oh, who? I mean, if it's OK to post about it here.

Significant others are the new black!

So you're saying that my lack of presence in Bitches is why I'm still single? Hmm, that would be really difficult to explain to my mom.

[Edited to wave at DXM]

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Oh, billytea! So happy for you! Details, please!

Later! For now I must go to bed. But she's very nice, and from Shanghai originally.

So you're saying that my lack of presence in Bitches is why I'm still single?

I fear so, he said, shaking his head sadly in that manner that suggests he always expected it would come to this.

G'night!

Night, billytea!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

JZ, isn't it way too early for you to be up?

Well, it would be, except that I conked out early last night -- asleep by 9:30 -- so I have actually had my full 8 hours.

I'd love to read anything you write about MSCL and thirtysomething.

So you're saying that my lack of presence in Bitches is why I'm still single? Hmm, that would be really difficult to explain to my mom.

I personally attribute it to either (a) clearly all the men in your city are terminally stupid, because surely anyone with half a brain would see your amazing heart and fall in love with you, or (b) nobody has set you up on a blind date with a pirate.

I don't know that either of these would be any easier to explain to your mom, though.

I conked out early last night

So the place is all quiet because everybody else is still sleeping, and the world just starts waking up? I love being awake, on my own, for no reason (especially on the weekend) on such an hour.

I'd love to read anything you write about MSCL and thirtysomething.

Oh, thank you! Maybe once I'm finished with it, I'll translate it to English for you? It will be a good exercise in translation, right?

I loved each and every time I read something you had written about MSCL. You're completely connected, in my mind, with this show now. Not unlike erika and H:LotS.

[Edit:

(a) clearly all the men in your city are terminally stupid, because surely anyone with half a brain would see your amazing heart and fall in love with you, or (b) nobody has set you up on a blind date with a pirate.

Well, you're a sweetheart, but not only have I gone on blind dates with men from all over Israel (well, considering how small Israel is when compared to the USA, I guess you can call it USA-standards-city), none of them was a pirate. Also, considering the downloading of TV shows' episode off the internet, and my as-yet lack of submition to this sort of piracy, the whole blind-date-with-a-pirate thing doesn't seem as far off as it used to.

As for my mom, well, I think she's at the point she would accept even a pirate. Maybe even with the eyepatch, the wooden leg and the "arrrr"s. She would anyway prefer that to any explanation regarding singlehood, no matter how hard it may be to introduce him to family and friends.]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just skimmed a week's worth of Natter, and there were MANY horrible stories in it! As well as some good ones. But sheesh, you guys.

Happy birthdays and other appropriate reactions to everything that happened to people last week!

I didn't get enough sleep last night (lame!) but the sleep I did get was deep enough that I didn't hear the phone ring, twice.

I'd always kind of thought I had a fear of heights, but upon reflection it seems it's really a distrust of trees, rickety ladders, etc. I'm fine looking over rails at extensive drops and whatnot as long as my actual footing is stable.

I copied this, because it lets me talk about one of the few touristy things we got to do on the trip -- we went to Teotihuacan last Sunday to see the pyramids, which was AWESOME, but I couldn't climb up the big ones, because after going up just a couple of the high and steep steps, I knew I would freak out trying to get down, and it wasn't worth it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Spring, when a young man's fancy turns to taking the convertible out....

Besides, Fall is the season when people are most likely to fall in love. There - now I don't feel so bad about my continuing singledomness - the Earth is tilting the wrong way

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

ION, by 10:00 I have done four loads of laundry and trimmed the cat's claws. (eta: also, cleaned litter box.) Now trying to figure out what to do with the rest of the day.

Also, tonight is the Simpsons episode that was written by (and has the voice of) that guy from The Office.
