Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'm avoiding it by reading the blogosphere explosion about Ben Domenech. For some reason, perpetrators of literary/journalistic/any sort of writing-for-a-living frauds totally fascinate me; between Domenech, James Frey and JT Leroy, this has been a banner year in crooked-writerdom-related work avoidance for me.

omigod, this has made me panic so much. I'm terrified that I could have written something down, and it's just something I remembered reading that worked its way into my brain and then fell out on a page somewhere.

I HATES these guys.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Add some soap and it might help. Maybe toss her a loofah as well.

And some falafel, in case she's a neocon.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

When I was working in the law school in Maine, I supervised the student workers. One day one of them was shelving in the Canadian law section, and came across foreign porn magazines in the shelves.

We were pretty sure we knew who put them there, and that he had done so because the magazines were in French, and the Quebec materials seemed like the best place to keep his stash.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Was it Parisian French, or Canadian? I hate the conflation--it's often so sloppy.

Man, you suck at this game.

At least it beats avoiding work by waiting for the computer system to work, which is how I spent this morning.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Time to go home, where there may be napping....

It was Parisian, but the guy in question wasn't the brightest of bulbs.

I think I need this.

Because, really, my cats aren't quite psycho enough.
