I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'll settle for being Laurie Anderson.

Really, I feel like Joey Tribbiani. "It's like summer in a bowl!"

Summer in a bowl doesn't come cheap, though.

It'd be worth a couple of bucks to me to even *try* to get a clinic open on the reservation--even if it doesn't happen.

I spoke with my BFF of 15 years, who is the Exec Director of an organization that works with native americans. She says that Cecilia Fire Thunder is legit. She does caution to make sure that your donation goes to the proper place, as the general fund is "a black hole" :)

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Heh, tommyrot posted something about that study yesterday (or possibly the day before, stuff all runs together in my brain after a while), Tom. It was a different article on the same study, though.

"The fact that we live at the bottom of a deep gravity well, on the surface of a gas covered planet going around a nuclear fireball 90 million miles away and think this to be normal is obviously some indication of how skewed our perspective tends to be."

I wouldn't trust us, either. We don't even support torture!

Oh well, back to my rampant materialism and cultural elitism. My gold-plated latte spoon makes me better than all of you! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Happy Birthday, Raq!

Hearing about a Sioux leader pledging to defy current government agendas gives me a creepy feeling when combined with Bush's scare-mongering about the threat of smallpox over the weekend.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Players who misbehave in the Roman online role-playing game Roma Victor will be punished by having their characters crucified and displayed in public spaces for other players to mock and throw things at. The first crucifixion is being doled out to "Cynewulf," played by a 27 year-old electrical engineer from Flint, Michigan, whose crime is "ganking" (ripping off) new players as they first appear in game. Cynewulf will be hung on the cross for seven days.

Atheists are "America's most distrusted minority".

I'm not surprised. All I tend to hear about Atheists is negative. The thing I hate though are the people who bring up Hitler and the Nazis are examples of Atheists.
