Why does Excel have none of the saving features that Word does to keep you from, I dunno, losing five hours worth of work accidentally at 2 am? How is it possible that it doesn't have an auto-save, a prompt before closing, or even auto-recovery?
It does. Tools -> Options, choose the Save tab, check the box next to "Save AutoRecover info every:" and choose how often you'd like.
My options doesn't have a save tab.
What version of Excel are you using?
It's my office computer. It says Excel 2000 "9.06926926 SP-3"
bon bon, good luck with the deadline. I wish there were something I could do to help from all the way across the ocean, other than just vibing.
bon bon, good luck with the Excel. Is there any chance you will get to go home tonight?
Hi Nilly!
I really should be asleep, and yet I am not.
Oh well.
t Waves at Perkins and Spidra
OK, I have to go to a lecture. I really hope that by the time I get back, Perkins (and/or Spidra and whoever else wants to) will be asleep and bon bon will be finishing her document for tomorrow and getting some rest, too.

It seems pointless to even try.
I hate nights like that. I hope you get to at least nap a little.
Were you able to recover any of the work?
