Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Heh. I think not hailing a cab will be easier -- they have cab stands and radio cars, so it's not like we're stranded. Also, I totally want to take the subway. Not that we'll have more than about 10 free hours over the week.

I kept boggling this week over the fact that the city has 22 MILLION people in it. And it's in an old lake! 22 MEEELION! I live in a city under 3/4 million. And it feels big.

They actually ended up arranging the site visits by location rather than subject area, because it just takes so long to get from place to place. OK. I guess I should go to bed. Crap! Forgot to call parents! I think it's too late now. Ah well. Oh, I can call from the airport, I guess. Anyway, have a good week, y'all!

Oh, and PS: the city itself is only 8 million -- it's the metro area that's 22. Edit: Or possibly 11 and 26, depending on the website. Hmph.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Just spent a couple hours in a smoky dive bar downtown.(The decor was a mix of pictures of naked women, musical instruments and stuffed and mounted animals) A friend was playing there, otherwise I'd never set foot in the place.

Last night we went to see Billy Joel, which was fun.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

My nephew sent me a birthday present, complete with a homemade card. It's abstract art.

I got some pajamas I have been coveting. Hooray!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

So I got some free stuff from a freecycler tonight - candle holders, books, and a plastic cleaning bucket. Nothing too amazing, but free is a good time.
