Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've been assuming that French Press isn't high on the list, because a) I use it and b) not that many other people seem to. It doesn't feel like more effort than most machines (excluding the pod), but I am coffeemaker phobic. The pod looks hella cool, but it does seem to limit the coffee choices.

The promo for this week's ER was quite misleading, even for them. The promo for next week's seem to have gone over the top into self-parody. The ominous voice is more gravelly, and they've laid filters over the video. Someone please stop the madness.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

My preferred method is French Press

I tried a French press, but they're a PITA to clean.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I say BOO-teek.

I make coffee with a French press. It may or may not be the absolute best, but it has the advantage of not needing to be shut off. And it's not like I let my coffee sit around to get cold. There are drip coffee machines that shut off after a pre-set time. Our office coffee maestro has one in his office. Unfortunately the timer's on the fritz and shuts the machine off about 5 seconds after the coffee's made. So the maestro and his Brethern in Caffination hover around the machine with cups at the ready, like cats outside a mousehole.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I tried a French press, but they're a PITA to clean.

Yeah, that's my big issue with the press.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

French Press makes fabulous coffee! I think not that many people use it simply b/c it seems like more effort compared to a coffeemaker.

The pod looks hella cool, but it does seem to limit the coffee choices.

Exactly. Plus, if you drink a lot of coffee, the pod is inconvenient. (Or, it would be, for *me*.)

A PITA to clean? Loosen the bits on the plunger, swish through soapy water, wash the bottom like a coffee cup, and you're done. Well, I'm done.

I am very low volume with the Bean, so there may be something I'm overlooking.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I take my caffeine in pill form. Unfortunately, coffee and caffeinated tea are never going to taste good to me.

Does decaf tea (as opposed to tea that's never had caffeine in) taste less bad?
