Happy Evacuation Day!

Ahem. I believe what you meant to say was

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

CaBil, the loss of a beloved pet is never minor. I'm so sorry.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

So sorry for you and Ms. H, CaBil.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

No indeedy, Jars -- Evacuation Day is an official city holiday in Boston. Which just happens to fall on St. Patrick's Day -- I'm sure there's not connection with the large number of Irish-Americans working for the city and the need to commemorate the British retreating from Boston in the Revolutionary War. t /puts on most earnest face

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

If not for British evacuation, how would incredibly annoying college freshman drunk on green beer achieve their goal of being arrested on a weekday before 9am??

Okay, the day after the Superbowl whenever the Patriots win doesn't count.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay Evacuation Day!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sorry to hear about your cat, CaBil.

I'm on the fence about bothering to get a watch I can wear in more formal situations. My other watch is on a leather band an inch and a half wide. And it has fire. Which is cool, but rarely formal.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yay Evacuation Day!

Is this just me, or is this something you might hear in a nursing home?

Also, today is (for Chicago) the first day where the day is as long as the night. (The farther North you are, the closer that day is to the Spring Solstice. Conversely, if you live on the equator, the day is longer than the night all year around.)
