Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Seriously.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, after doing a stupid amount of walking today (stupid due to overshooting where I was going by two blocks on the bus and then overshooting it AGAIN on foot), all I want to do is sit here. But no, I have to do laundry. Bleh.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just got into an debate with a support tech who told me my laptop's applications had to run off the network (they don't on my current laptop, and when I checked on the new they didn't either, plus that's a dumb idea), and that it didn't matter that some apps failed to install when I first logged in, because I'd just discover what was broken as I worked and they'd fix stuff reactively. Never mind I told him that the Notes ID he was trying to get me running off of was too old.

Given I didn't raise my voice, get snippy, or impugn his intelligence (out loud), he really needed to not get snippy with me.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

So, if I'm desperately bored and blah, hitting reload on the BRQG until I find something funny I said -- that's an okay method of validating my self-worth, right?

That's why you coded it, right, shrift?

You could also go into the Comm thread and search on your handle. Yes, on some rather gray days I've done this. I've also looked up stuff from Buffistae who've made me laugh in the past.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

This seems like an appropriate one for today:

Gudanov: I was just going to ask "What is The Office?", but then that made me think about the promos for the first Matrix movie. You know, "What is The Matrix?", and that seemed like a silly comparison. What does being put into a small pod, having the energy sucked out of you, and living in an unreal world have to do with working in an office?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I've got to say, people like ita and Madrigal are really making my search more difficult.
