Echoing the other eastcoasters - lovely day. I gave platelets this morning, then went and met my brother's new foster dog. another chow chow mix, this one a girl and WHAT A DOLL! She has none of the barking and lunging at people/dogs/bikes thing that Tucker had.
Now am home and having some lunch. I kinda konked out on the subway, so I may take a nap later. Maybe on the floor in the kid room since the sun is hitting there and sleeping with the sun on me sounds like a great idea.
I just mercilessly pruned my scented geranium within an inch of its life. It may just kill it in the end, but its exisitence as of late in its unpruned state was sad, pitiful, and ugly, to say the least.
I don't think mere prunning can kill a geranium, they are one of the rasputins of the plant world.
I just took an impromptu 1.5 hour nap, and am still trying to wake up. Grrrr.
Somebody explain to my cats that they don't get fed until at least 5 PM, K?
It is cold. like 40's here. I don't have a lot of clothes for this weather
I dig ya. It's a beautiful day today. Sun's out and everything is scrubbed fresh. But it's cold alright. I live in an old Victorian and it's expensive to heat. So I'm wearing silk underwear pants under my cotton pants and a fleece-lined denim shirt. I filled up two hot water bottles and have retreated to my bed. I hate it when it's like this because I need to get work done and I only get so much done in bed. But low temperatures (yeah, I'm a native Californian) put me into hibernation mode.
I actually took advantage of the gorgeous day, for once, and walked over to Roosevelt Island to read for school and pleasure. Nice.
YAY outside. despite wanting to nap, I went outside and ran errands and walked and walked and walked and walked. tired legs. extra nap-wanting now.
