I roasted some awesome brussels sprouts the other week. Everything is good roasted.

The one thing I can't bear, texture-wise, is water chestnuts. Gah. I have mushroom issues too, but the chestnuts are the worst.

Is this the diced white stuff that sort of has the texture of ice? Whatever that it's the worst of the crunchy vegetables.

I don't even mind like broccoli and the like, it just goes so poorly with, say, greasy glass noodles.

I do like me some dim sum.

Pad thai acquired. *Man* it is good. Like so, so good. and I love the woman that owns the restaurant in town--she's so nice! Grabs my hands every time and, with a big smile, says "Thank you for coming in!"

I am fine with hating that guy, Brenda. He already swore at his wife! And she's all surrendered spouse. Ew. Predictably, I'm enjoying all of the "quirky" teams -- the nerds, the hippies, the gays.
