Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just heard a hilarious story last night from a friend who was mugged just after moving to a new city, so lost every piece of ID she had, along with the cash she was going to open a new bank account with. Her mother sent her old passport from when she was NINE and she actually used that as picture ID! Along with the whole sob story, of course.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Anyone else watching NASA TV? The Mars orbiter is just about to fire its engines to enter orbit.

Also, I'm glad I'm not from a former soviet state and waiting on a visa, like three of my classmates (two Moldovans and one Azerbaijani).

It also takes a long time to get a visa from Freedonia....

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Hail, Hail Freedonia

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Land of the spree, and the home of the knave!

The MRO (Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter) has emerged from the far side of Mars and everything looks good.

eta: Yay! They've confirmed it has successfully entered orbit.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's the very site that told me my passport wouldn't be arriving until after my trip. So I called and upgraded my service, but it's not updated online yet.
