I'd just like to see the Dems finally embrace the idea that they are the opposition party, and should actually act like it instead of trying to turn themselves in Republicans-lite. I just read in a blog (firedoglake, I think) last night that back in either 2000 or 2004, Carville tried to get more right-leaning votes by putting Zell Miller on the ticket as VP. Freaking Zell Miller! The Democrat-in-name-only Zell Miller, who actually spoke at the Republican convention in 2004!! People who think like Carville are ruining the party.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Read that as "tommy" rubs.

Heh.

Well, my birthday is coming up....

Have we all heard about the government research into controlling sharks, turning them into weapons? This is cool, as it resulted in the coolest blog title ever: Shark and Awe.

Somewhere, Samuel L. Jackson is getting really, really nervous.

Woot! The museum closest to my home is opening a huge Maxfield Parrish exhibit this weekend, including the paintings he did for the Knickerbocker Hotel. This should be fun to go see.

HE LOOKS LIKE.... The Morbid Game of Psychoanalyzing Strangers in Pictures

It's a sick game. We psychoanalyze people in pictures. We make up their backstories. And we have a lot of fun doing it.

The current top picture is NOT work-safe, although it's good for a laugh....

Kathy - have you seen previews for Sunday's West Wing?

Yes, I have. And can I just say, it's about freaking time!! Although I'm not as bad off as other fans in terms of anticipation levels since I've only been hooked on the show since Bravo started with the syndicated episodes about a year ago or so. Before that, I'd never seen the show, but after getting caught up a bit, I tuned into the first-run shows on NBC last fall. Seeing the preview during the Olympics, especially of The Kiss, I'm definitely tuning in on Sunday!
