it didn't strike me as particularly bad, but I like her.

I still love Reese. In related news, my purse is currently full of Reese Krispie Treats, made in her honor -- Rice Krispie treats with some peanut butter cups included. I only took them because I am not afraid to throw them away!!
YOU GOT A MAN!
Whass my man got to do with George?
I thought Reece's speech sounded pretty sincere. I have nothing on which to judge, but I thought it was nice.
Pissed at Hoffman for not barking though.
Whass my man got to do with George?
Har! I'm not trying to hear that, see?
I am so glad the song shout out got picked up. Now I really must get to bed.
I'll tell George you were really tired. I'm sure he'll understand. He's adorable like that.
BTW, Crash?!?!!
THAT totally sucks.
Robin sums up my assessment as well. But on the plus side--COWBOY SLASH!
Arrrggh. My dvr cut out during the clips for Best Actress, so I missed everything after.
I can only agree with the general droolage over Mr. Clooney, long may he wave. And the badness of any nearly-nude-color dresses on anybody. Nobody can wear them and look good on camera. I loved the color on Salma, but the cut did squish her left breast oddly. The hair was fabulous, though. And Charlize should have had a lisence and a certified carrier for that bow.
I just saw Capote this past week. It was not a movie to be "enjoyed," although I believe it has significance as history, of American society and the literary society of the period. GN&GL was a much more visually appealing movie, and an enjoyable experience. Both movies were remarkable for capturing the atmosphere and prevailing public mindset of the period. But Hoffman did a remarkable job in the title role, and really earned his Oscar.
There are a few movies I missed this year, but I'll be adding to the Netflix queue this week.
Clooney's the king of hollywood.
I agree with Daisy, that Jon got better as he got less scripted. The attack ads were fun, as was the opening bit.
Lily and Meryl? I just wanted them to start making out. But they were very cute and fun.
Crash? Pffft. One of the worst picks in recent memory. Guarantee you nobody will be watching that movie in ten years.
However, in twenty years they'll team Jake and Heath up as presenters at the Oscars and the crowd will go nuts.
The attack ads were really a highlight.
