It's even better than the kid at my niece's confirmation who was text messaging while the bishop was giving the homily. This was one of the kids being confirmed, mind you, not some random kid at the service.
At the church I used to go to the priest once stopped a wedding to (politely) tell someone go outside to take a call. Since it was the lieutenant governor's wedding the person taking the call was quite possibly a bfd.
