Trudy, when are you coming to see me and Raul? We would give you eggs and bacon, I promise.

JRM looked soooo pretty in the VF Hollywood issue. That boy has the best pillow lips evah. He puts Angelina to shame.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I will come and see you... not next weekend. The weekend after that. Or a weeknight.

And I'll bring that Chilean cheese if I can find it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am watching The Kid from Brooklyn. Why have I never seen this movie before? Danny Kaye and the faaaaabulous Vera-Ellen in an all-singing, all-dancing spectacular!

I know! Sadly, I came in in the middle, due to delaying my watching of High Society.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

I am a huge Danny Kaye fan. "Wonder Man" is probably my favorite. Although his very first "Up in Arms" has some great boogie-woogie stuff.

Huh. Now that I'm almost to the end of the movie, I'm realizing that I actually have seen it before. But it took almost the whole movie to figure it out.

Oh well, it's still fantastic. And Danny Kaye is really quite handsome.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I'm glad baby Burrell's don't have the pox! I still remember the summer I had it. My dad worked at the local country club's pool, so I spent every day hot itchy and unable to swim with all the other kids. I hope Frannie is well soon.

I'm knitting a shrug that should be done in a day or two. After the cabled scarf from hell it will be nice to finish something in less than a month. While we were in NO we went to the yarn shop down the street from my friend's work and I got two skeins of alpaca, some mohair/metallic stuff and silk ribbon yarn. I have no idea what I'll do with it. I've been going back and forth between catching up here and looking at Anthropologie for ideas.

Still cranky about working next Saturday-I remembered before bed last night that I have to bring a box full of stuff since I won't be at the office, but at a different site, which means when I get off and try to get back to the house, I'll have to walk a block or two carrying all that stuff. Still not nearly as upset as I was Friday though, so I guess that's progress.

Also, how can I be upset when Cutting Edge is on my tv?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

kat, I'm go to the UES four nights a week for therapy. If you're going to meet Trudy on a weeknight, I'll probably be nearby also.

I reaqlly should make a trip to goodwill and offload my old microwave. But I don't think that's happening. Mall is, as soon as I finish eating this sandwich, which isn't bad. Bought it on a whim and coupon, because it seemed so odd. Lean Cuisine has these frozen grilled sandwiches. Which really, you could make yourself. The extraspecial grill plate doesn't really grill the sandwich in the micro, but does prevent sogginess. Still, you can make it yourself.

I'm predicting mall trip will net nothing. I really need some new clothes, but...

Trudy and Tom Scola and I don't even have to leave my own little neighborhood? That's the hotness.

Cutting Edge

I read in EW that ABC Family channel has made a sequel to The Cutting Edge to which I say feh and feh again. Nobody can top the Pamchenko.
