Sooner or later, you're gonna want it. And the second — the second — that happens, you know I'll be there. I'll slip in, have myself a real good day.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

JRM just looks like rough trade.

Those chocolates sound amazing, as does the trip to the store!

High Society is on my TV, I just had a bacon egg and cheese sandwich, and life is not bad.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Habanero and mango sounds AMAZING. Thank you so much.

Oh, dear. The phrase "Krav Mama" has lodged itself in my brain and I don't know how to make it go away.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Hee.

It's not my fault though. I said Krav mom.

Of course, the fact that I will keep thinking of you as Krav Mama might be my fault.

Also, Pete wants me to beep your nose with a wet finger the next time I see you. That might be a while, so consider yourself beeped.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We have a house guest who is the longtime office manager for the medical office of the BF's uncle. She has been visiting friends in Northern Cal, but is flying out of LAX, so we said she could stay here. She is pretty much an honorary family member, and a very nice woman, but we thought she was leaving this morning and she isn't going until tonight, so we have to entertain her all day. And this woman NEVER STOPS TALKING. She tells long stories about the lives of patients they treat who we have never met or about people from her town who we have also never met. She and the BF are with the dog at the dog park right now and I am resting my ears. Lord, grant me patience.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Krav Mom was an utter doll. I'm not shocked that Krav guy is also a sweetie.

Gronk. Have to find clean tights and the energy to brush my hair.

Certain members of the family were up at 5am being cranky and teethy.

Need coffee.

Timelies all.

It is a gorgeous day out, if a little bit cold. I had almost a perfect yesterday despite the fact that I had to work all morning. It started to pick up when I finally got my hair done after being unceremoniously denied the past two weeks. Ah, the press and curl. Then I went with my favorite product friend to Sephora where I got yummy new perfume and tried on way too much lip gloss. Tried to get dim sum, but wound up with Italian, which resulted in the eating of the world's best plate of mussels. Then we got accosted on the street by square dancers on a scavenger hunt and that kind of thing only happens when I'm with prodcut-friend. And then I got home and watched Funny Girl with the divine Omar Sharif. Heaven.

And now I have coffee and donuts and every expectation that today will be just as good.

God, I love High Society. It's so scandalous!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

JRM just looks like rough trade.

Is that your professional opinion?

Kat, that sounds awesome. And I want to run about similarly. But its coooooooooold. I've managed to lie in bed and start to catch up on my tapes (African American Lives? thumbs up. Olympic Closing Ceremonies? sorta anticlimactic when its been over a week) and not eat. I should at least eat. But its coooooooold out where the bacon and eggs are.

I am watching The Kid from Brooklyn. Why have I never seen this movie before? Danny Kaye and the faaaaabulous Vera-Ellen in an all-singing, all-dancing spectacular! I love TCM. It's almost enough to make me forgive the whole colorization thing.

I love Danny Kaye!
