Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
So we had our meeting about the department re-org. It amazingly finished before 5. I did feel I got the brush-off when I asked a question which has put me in a less-than-stellar mood.
I asked if we could get a listing of our new responsibilties and was told it should be in my job description.
My current job description has nothing to do with the duties I'm going to be performing post re-org. Yes, we have a lot of people who were wearing a lot of hats and part of this re-org is putting people back into the jobs they were hired for, but I'm getting kicked to the side and forced to wear a hat I never wanted in the first place. It's not unreasonable for me to want a clear-cut description of what it is that I'm actually supposed to be doing, especially since we're supposed to be submitting a list of duties we currently have that are outside of our "new" positions.
Being made to feel like an idiot for daring to ask about it does not help my already low-morale about this fucking thing to begin with. Jackass!
My former-boss currently-boss's boss soon-to-be-my boss again until they hire me yet a different boss got to hear quite a bit of raving from me once the meeting was over. She's obviously not happy with what's going on either, but figures someone else will eventually come in down the road and change everything around again anyway, so there's no point in getting worked up over it.
Kalshane - my DH is in a company that has an offical reorg every year or so. If you are in one of those - you gotta learn to ride the wave or GETOUT!GETOUT!GETOUT!
and better political news

This is only the second major re-org in the almost 9 years I've been here. My boss has been here for close to 30, so I suppose she has a different perspective on the whole thing.
We have employee evaluations early next week, and I'm dreading them. I think I've been doing an excellent job in the past year, but when that's the case I sometimes find out that my higher ups regard things I consider virtues to be problems in need of fixing instead. And I hate, hate, HATE the trend of couching things in corporatespeak and requiring more documentation, status reports, and meetings at every turn.

You'd want our new CIO burned at the stake then. Everything with him is about buzzwords, meetings, reports and "paper"work.
Mmm. Documentation.
Back from my nerve block and trigger point injection. This doesn't feel quite like last time, but I hope it turns out as well, and for longer.
I've been advised to take it easy tonight, so I think I shall.
Oh, christ. The burgers. 1/3lb with sauteed mushrooms and red peppers and spicy mayonnaise and jalapeno jack cheese. A bucket of fries, and then some sweet potato fries.
And then much of a chocolate burger, which is a donut split with chocolate mousse and strawberries and banana.
I really do need a lie down, but I might never get up again.
Mmmmm...sweet potato fries.................with lots of salt and ranch dressing....

Holy shit.
(eyes bug out)
I want FOUR.
The Counter. God damn, that's some food.
I am so dead. On the up side, I might have gained that missing five pounds. Not where I needed them, but still.
