If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

It's so craxy. We have five, five presentations to give this weekend. Our department is three people, and they always flag Minion to manage the recording and videotaping. Man, he's gone soon, and they have no idea how much they're going to miss him.

Conference starts tomorrow at seven. Meetings from seven til six Friday, Saturday, Sunday, with brief breaks that usually get overrun, and then formal dinners Friday and Saturday. I am living for six pm Sunday, I'll tell you. And the week or two following conferences are always insane, too.

These are internal conferences. It's fucking crazy, and I really really think he might be gone by the end. And I can't hardly blame him, even though I want to grab him to me and say "myy precciouusss".

Glad you could stick it to The Man with beer on his dime, though

Oh, I'll be doing as much of that as I can manage. And I have to stay at the Swisshotel the rest of the weekend, so I should be able to run up a decent tab.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Damn The Man.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Can't find a good dragonfly. This is why I keep petering out.

It's fucking out of control is what it is. And in theory, we do this about three times a year. But our last one was in mid-December, so good lord.

Might be time to sit down with the boss (after you've all recovered) and make some plans for temp help for the next one?
