Her magic series is pretty good too, but more tradiional fantasy fare. The Alpha and Omega series is fun, but I agree that nothing beats Mercy.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.
I would also recommend Dragon Bones and Dragon Blood, which are "traditional" fantasy. I think they have a fresh take on the genre, and like them a lot.

While I enjoyed reading Dragon Bones and Dragon Blood, I feel I should mention that both books had enough rape, threat of rape, and previously raped characters (male and female) that I started wondering about the author.

That reminds me of starting the "Sword of Truth" series and starting to wonder about the author of that. It seemed to really go to a BDSM and rape place and I had to give up on the series.
