Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
:-(
Oh, right! Hey, do you have the books? I'd love to borrow them.
Some, not all. I originally read them from the library, and never finished completing my own collection. I think I have all of the Mallorean, but only three of the Belgariad. I have both prequels and the Codex, though.
The Belgariad especially flashes me back to university, but they all remind me pleasantly of Montreal. I don't remember if I read the Codex.
I have it but never read it. Maybe if I reread the series now, I'd be more into it, but when I got it, it had been awhile since the last reread.
I can loan you what I have, just let me know where and when.
Maybe we could do Caffe Urth Melrose this weekend? I can splurge on that, I think.
t /casting caution to the wind
Might not be able to do it this weekend. Multiple out of towners and a possible freelance client meeting. Next weekend too late?
I should be working on my own freelance project this weekend (my sister is a harsh taskmaster) so next is better.
Wait--do I need to give you anything for this visitor?
Despite this chick not getting the allure of slash and/or fic, this review of a new m/m erotic romance (historical, too!) is pretty funny.
What's funnier is I had read a review of this same romance at All About Books, and the reviewer really liked it. She didn't, however, include any passages from it like this other blogger did, and I'm sort of blinking at the sheer purple.
