Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Did we know that there's an Anathem Wiki?

I'm poking through the Earth-Arbre connections page, and I'm not agreeing with all of it. I can see where they're getting most of the definitions, but a lot of them just aren't lining up for me.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Donald Westlake died.

Best known for his mysteries, of course, and also the ultra-hard Richard Stark novels, but I'm also fond of his science fiction and fantasy stories (mostly from the fifties when he was getting started).

Every Christmas I'm reminded of his anti-Claus, "Nackles."

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Donald Westlake wrote a number of very funny books. What a shame.

“Not dead yet!”

Question for the literary hivemind (and forgive ahead of time, my ignorance in the matter): Are there any well-known/iconic vampire novels where the lead character/heroine is the vampire?
