Are you working 9 to 5, Dana?

'The Girl in Question'
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

It is the only way to be sure.
You may nuke us, Dana, but I will always love you.
Ah, but do you love her in Dolly-voice, or Whitney-voice?
(Two! Two earworms for the price of one!)
either way I know that my heart will go on.
I guess Dana knew when to fold them.
It's Islands in the Net I think
Right you are - and bonus points for earworming Dana.
Maybe we should hum "Little Birdhouse In Your Soul" to divert her.
Funny - did not like Conquistador at all.
Oh, it's very different from the Merchant Princes ones (where I liked the first book a lot, and less the next few, and I can't quite articulate why). Just the whole idea of parallel worlds that you can make money by bringing things from one to the other.
I've been very proud of the fact that, since starting my part-time gig at Barnes & Noble last July, I've only bought a relatively few books for myself (10-15, I believe). However, I did have a minor splurge yesterday and picked up the new Nora Roberts paperback (#2 in the Seven trilogy) and also finally replaced my long-lost copy of A Canticle for Liebowitz, which for some reason has been on my mind lately even though I haven't read it in over 20 years. I'm looking forward to reading it again and seeing if it is as good as I remember it being.
