Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Were you (or Em) around for Fay's reading of Wolves in the Walls at the SF2F?

I think we left in the middle of it. Em has a copy of it that she loves.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

She might be a little young for Coraline now, but if she likes Wolves, chances are she'll like his others.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Another fun Gaiman book (in collaboration with Terry Pratchett) is GOOD OMENS.

Good Omens! Of course. I think I may have read that one even before Sandman.

Hee! My co-worker just told me I'd like Good Omens, too. I didn't pick it up cause of the Terry Pratchett thing cause I tried to read Pyramids and one of the witches books and couldn't get into it.

I couldn't really get into Pratchett either but I loved Good Omens, fwiw.

Have you read the Sandman? Not a novel, obviously, but a very good story nonetheless.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I've not. I think Joe has it. Somewhere.
