Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I'm pleased to note that at least three people said they'd bought or would buy the book on my recommendation. YAY fandom!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Go, Consuela! Yay, fandom!

I've been kinda vaguely thinking about it and I think I'd like for us to be googleable by the book's title. I'm just floating it out there, but how would people feel about it if we added to the slug of this thread something along the lines of, "including our own "Will the Vampire People Please Leave the Lobby."

I don't know why I want it visible, necessarily. Just that it's Our Book About Us, by One of Us, and I want to publicly acknowledge it somehow.

Also that with all the publicity and potentially more to come, it's always possible that we'll attract one or two onlookers, and it would be kinda nice to be able to direct them to a place where they can talk about the book.

And I just kinda wanna give the author a nod.

I know, can I vague all that up any more? But I'm just thinking through it. Whaddya think?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Are any of the threads Googleable? I thought only the front page was supposed to show up in searches.

[eta....just realized the slug IS on the front page. I are dumb.]

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I know the author changed her nick for anonymity purposes. Maybe she would prefer if the site didn't show up on google. Doesn't the book give our web address so interested peoples could find their way here?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The book mentions the URL, and at least one review has so far (EW).

Today's New York Times Magazine has an article by someone who rules.

And it's about us! I mean, a little. We're in the corpus.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I think we may be partially responsible for the violent sporking.

brillig

Is the Corpus the result of that project a while back when they were gathering various posts of ours?
