No. You're missing the point. The design of the thing is functional. The plan is not to shoot you. The plan is to get the girl. If there's no girl, then the plan, well, is like the room.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Hey saameg, how is it being immortalized as someone with a cold? I mean, all 8 strangers who've purchased the book now know you as a person with a cold. People are going to meet you and expect you to be coughing. And they'll be disappointed that you're not.

They'll be all, "do the coughing thing!"

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hey saameg, how is it being immortalized as someone with a cold?

I can't speak to that, but I can say that your pimping one of my books in your book is a brilliant good feeling.

Thanks!

Hey sarameg, how is it being immortalized as someone with a cold?

At least you didn't mention me sounding like a freaking barking seal and people telling me to just stop.trying.to.talk. I mean, how sad is that?

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Well, Hecubus, I also love your books. But I have an audience of 12(sixteen if you count the Olberblog, and I already have a cranky old guy correcting my memories of the musical segues on "Countdown") so the pimping opportunities have not been heavy on the ground yet.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I finished reading the last 400 pages of HBP today, and I plan to start on Deathly Hallows tonight.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Heh. Only up to page 100 myself. I'm kinda enjoying making this last so far. I figure by this weekend I'll be totally crack-addicted and staying up until 4 in the morning.

Punishingly Intricate

I could have finished it last night but I really don't want it to be over! So I still have 100 or so pages left.

move out and draw fire

I set it down about 1/3 of the way through to read paperdol's book. But last night, faced with a sick baby and the prospect of watching Cars AGAIN, I finished it.

I did have to shut myself in the bathroom for a bit so Mal wouldn't see me crying and get upset.
