Kinda like fish in a barrell, wasn't it? I wouldn't go feeling like a heavy or anything, Hec. It was at least dented before you got here.
Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
Bit of DETOUR trivia: the lead actor, Tom Neal, later went to prison for 10 years for the "involuntary manslaughter" - interesting term for a .45 slug to the back of the head - of his wife. [link]
There's an anthology coming out next month called "Baltimore Noir"
It's out now! I bought it for mom at Atomic Books this weekend.
Question--is there any way to put together a list of authors and be notified when they have a new book out/coming out? Amazon suprisingly doesn't seem to be able to do this (or maybe I'm just a moron who can't get to the right help file). You'd think it would be easy enough, but...
meara, on Amazon, go into Your Account, then look under E-Mail Notifications for "Manage your Amazon.com Alerts."
Ah, I see. It's still not quite as intuitive/easy as you'd think, but I guess it'll do what I want! Thanks! Dunno why I couldn't find that one when I was looking at work earlier.
I always thought the Amazon interface sucked.
Barnes and Noble sent me a notice that the new Jennifer Crusie book was out. Isn't that odd?
Interesting mix.
According to a description from Jesse, I might have missed a Crusie. I need to do research.
It will either be "OMG, how clever," or very "WTF?"
