Yes to your whitefont! I was SO RELIEVED that Oliver’s straight friends showed up after they seemed to be entirely missing from Husband Material, and integrating the two groups AND having a big climactic fight amongst them all that didn’t break down by who was originally friends with whom was GREAT but a Priya book would be wonderful.

I am still waiting for the trans artist from Luc’s bachelor party to get a book, too. I’m not sure where I got the idea that that was definitely in the works but it is solidly in my head

Well, Charlaine Harris's Gunnie Rose series has irritated me a great deal. Six books of irritating me. I suppose I will read the next one if there is one, but I am not looking forward to it.

I applaud your choice. I had it sitting in a suspended hold from the library for quite a long time and finally decided to read it and I wouldn't go so far as to say I wish I had that time back but I didn't enjoy it

I told ltc I’d try to finish reading A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Friday when we’re supposed to watch the movie, but I find myself really not caring about Snow’s dramatic backstory. Someone encourage me to read it.

I never convinced myself to read it, but, hm, maybe approach it as an exercise in prequels?

I read The Mad Sisters of Esi over the weekend. I think I picked it up because it was nominated for something but I don't recall exactly. It's very weird but interesting and good.

Also did a little bit of rereading Pride and Prejudice because that one thread on Bluesky is the the best thing on the internet and some of his remarks made me want to read the specific chapter he was on and I got sucked back in a bit...I have been trying to remember, we had a whole year of English Lit in high school (junior year) and I don't think Jane Austen was even mentioned. Or the Brontes. I do see people mentioning reading her in school, is that common?

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I read Pride and Prejudice in senior year, AP English.

Edit: Actually, I didn't read it when I was supposed to, failed the test, then read it and kicked myself for not reading it in the first place.
