Omg am reading a book that clearly started as Bon Appetit Test Kitchen fanfic, Claire/gender swapped Brad? It’s super cute though a little frustrating because the Claire character is super dumb about things that I don’t think make sense? But still cute. “Chef’s Kiss” by TJ Alexander

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

That's hilarious! Harvard Educated Claire?! C'mon, TJ, smarten up your protag.
Has anyone else read The Ministry of Time? I couldn't put it down, though I agreed with some of the reviews I read when I was afraid I might hate the ending that said the science fiction/time travel, romance, and thriller elements were sometimes awkwardly meshed.
That's fair. I also found that the amount of time spent on pretty inconsequential stuff outweighed the time spent on major events.
I am about 25% of the way into it, and I’m enjoying it so far but also skeptical of where it’s going?
I am a few pages in, but it'll be next week before I can drive seriously back into anything.
You all have broadened my genre horizon by miles. I'm reading more fantasy than I ever expected and really enjoying it! The Ministry of Time just went onto my "want to read" list. And I found another one -- The Tainted Cup, by Robert Jackson Bennett, that looks great.
lol im now about 80% done with Ministry of Time but amusingly was talking to a friend at trivia who revealed she was ALSO in the midst of reading it! Synchronicity. Or library holds coming free at the same time. One or the other.
But I have momentarily abandoned it in favor of gay hockey romance.
I mean... priorities, right?
Hey, guys. Sorry to pop up to deliver bad news. Last night author Peter Morwood passed away unexpectedly. His wife, Diane Duane, posted the news on her tumblr:
She put a Ko-Fi link in the post for those who want to donate directly, but does anyone know what the best platform to use to buy her books that would get the greatest return back to her?
