Oh, God. Oh, God. My hair. My hair! The government gave me bad hair!

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I believe he said he was taking a break to write something different.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

We are getting a 5, this year even, he just had another idea he wanted to explore. I think he said somewhere that he can only see putting one book a year so maybe they will alternate, but I could have made that up

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I just like to know well in advance so I can put it on hold at the library. I'm currently #6 for this new series, but there are 85 copies so I imagine I'll get it in a couple of days.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

The ebook edition of our own Garvey's novel Glass Heart is on sale today for $1.99 at Barnes and Noble and Kobo.

Our wings are not tired.

Sweet! I got the hard cover one a long time ago. I just went ahead and put it on my Kindle with points. Just because.

I checked to see if I already had it in Books and I did, but that let me find a couple more of her romances for $2.99 each which I am sure will come in handy

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I really enjoyed The Tomb of Dragons but some online friends are unhappy because they think Addison cheated on pivoting away from Iana as the love interest.

I don't care that much, and I appreciated that the plot was all pretty relevant to current events, without being too ham-handed. And I just like Thara and his friends.

Plus we got to see Maia again! However briefly.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm listening to That Self-Same Metal right now and it is a lot of fun. Good magic system, diverse cast, Shakespeare, fae!

(MUCH more fun than Heavenly Tyrant, which was a terrible slog with a terrible MC that just barely redeemed itself in the final 50 page or so. Desperately hoping book 3 is the last in this series so I can be done with it.)

I'm re-reading the other books in the series because I just had forgotten too much, a third of the way into Witness for the Dead and hoping I can retain enough to not feel quite so lost when I get back to The Tomb of Dragons. I hadn't revisited Goblin Emperor in quite a while, that was worthwhile for its own sake, I think
