Epic, now you have to read all the rest of them! May I suggest The Seventh Bride or A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking next.
Noted! Though I found a copy of Swordheart on my TBR shelf (like there's only ONE TBR shelf, ha!), so I'm pretty sure that will be my next Kingfisher. I'm also pretty sure it was also a gift from the same friend as the new 2! Thank goodness she's persistent!
Epic, there are some horror (or horror-leaning) books. I'd advise making sure you read those during the daytime.
Also noted!
Oh epic you’re in for some treats!!
Yay!
A Sorceress Comes to Call is due to come out in about a month. Sounds similarly fairy tale ish to the two Epic just read (and others)
I'm liking the title!
Just placed a few holds over at the library website!
Swordheart is excellent, I feel certain you will enjoy it. I wish she would give us the other sword stories that I'm pretty sure were promised at some point, but given that she keeps writing other really good stuff meanwhile/instead I cannot really complain
New Penric and Desdemona story came out 30Jun, I just saw!
I took all the Fridays in July off for no particular reason, just that I have the vacation time available and felt like having some long weekends, which means I get to spend tomorrow lazing in front of a fan reading The Duke at Hazard. I am looking forward to it SO MUCH. Same series as The Gentle Art of Fortune Hunting.
-t, I snapped that up - it was lovely. I found it very warm and the love story worked out so well.
Agreed, definitely the feel-good romance I was looking for. I was very curious about how it would fit with Gentle Art (I really like Thief in the Night which I guess is an offshoot?) and I'm pleased with how that worked out.
So, I'm buying a copy of Left Hand of Darkness on Chirp because it's on sale, and had to come and tell y'all that I am charmed by the reason it is on sale which is apparently because it includes a "road trip". Also, I guess if anyone wants it for $2 let me know and I can send you a discount link
BookBub tells me
The Ruthless Lady’s Guide to Wizardry
is on sale for $1.99 various places today. I could not connect the title to anything and the description wasn't helping me, but I determined that I read it 3 years ago and when I finally looked up the first book in the series (this is the second, but you don't have to have read the first to enjoy it) the description FINALLY triggered my memory that this is a DELIGHTFUL book, well worth $2. A charming love story, good fantasy, just generally joyful
