The unread books in my Kindle and Kobo apps are in the corner with your unread audiobooks, judging us.
Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
I also have a huge list of unread kindle books and unread physical books. Teacup has a ton of unread books as well and a couple dozen unread kindle books. She will devour one series at a time. Her current series is out of print and not available on kindle. So, I have to keep looking around for them.
I have a deep love of a good series. When I like the characters I just want more and more.
I'm in one series in audiobooks and another in e-books right now myself. And I bought the first 8 books in another series as they were packaged up cheap and I actually thought that was the whole series, and then as I was checking out got offered the next 4 for not too much more money so I thought that would finish it off but it turns out that there are another 6 after that and now I don't even want to start reading it because, really, 18 books hanging over me is too much (except that I am actively awaiting the 20th book in another series but they weren't all looming when I started so it's different...)
I'm less than 2 hours from the end of Paladin's Faith and I'm so worried about everyone and yet somehow I have to be AT WORK NOW??
(No reassuring spoilers please, I'm actually quite enjoying the extremely tense ambiguity of it all.)
(OMG, SHANE.)
(OMG, EVERYONE.)
Oh, that is totally unreasonable of work!
I have been reading/re-reading the "In Death" series by J.D. Robb. I've previously always just read them sporadically as they crossed my path at used bookstores, but I finally decided I want to read them all, in order. But there are over 50 books in the series (so far) so I really don't want to buy them! I started at the library, but the oldest books were only available as audiobooks, so that became my thing. I read other books as physical books or ebooks, I read these in the car when I'm driving. I'm up to book 27, but for some reason, it's just not available at my library. There are 2 copies, but they aren't available - not checked out, just not available. I went ahead and got 27.5, but now I'm torn about 27. I put 28 audiobook on hold, but rather than just skipping ahead, I put a physical copy of book 27 on hold. It's really dumb how much it's bugging me that I may have to read 27 in the "wrong" format!
Insent, Epic
Thanks, -t!
I know what I'm listening to on the train up to my cousin's!

Not dumb at all!! Format consistency throughout a series is important!
(See also, changing narrators midway through a series when the POV character is the same. DO NOT.)
