Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

What does this even mean?

Apparently there's a very spicy Zaddy.

And this?

Wait, scratch that, I don't think I want to know what that means.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Shadow and Bone/Six of Crows

Six of Crows over Shadow and Bone would be my 2 cents

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I pre-ordered Paladin's Faith. Having a sleepless night, I saw it downloading at 12:33 am. I, of course, started on it right away. There are serious things going on, but I found some gems of humor early on. In this case, the Paladin is described as looking like he had a woodchuck latched to his jaw. Bishop Beartongue insisted he get a shave.

Well, let's hope this reading thing sticks since it looks like these suggestions may cover the next few Christmases and birthdays! Thanks, everyone.

It's funny how just as I started reading less and less my sister and niece have both taken it up with a vengeance.

Living on the Pacific Timezone has some benefits - Paladin's Faith popped up on my kindle at 9 as I was paging through my library of to be read books thinking I was not in the mood for any of them. Had a little trouble remembering who Marguerite was, and I still don't really remember why Beartongue owes her a favor but I don't think it matters. I am resenting that I have to work today instead of curling up to read.

One thing I have noticed - every time they mention the paladin's armor I have to realize anew that my mental image of them all is probably very wrong. I blame Swordheart, rightly or not, but I seem to have glommed onto more of a barbarian fighter kind of thing, (or maybe like Geralt of Rivia?) rather than suits of armor

What does this even mean?

Apparently there's a very spicy Zaddy.

A sexy, well dressed mature man with swag.
