Yeah, I hear you. I support changing the number. Maybe number the short stories and novellas separately from the novels? They’re all part of the same story, but dividing them up seems to make the ordering more manageable. For now, anyway.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
Hmm, I’m on the hold list at the library but probably need to re-read the earlier ones. Some I’ve read many times but I think the last one or two I’ve only read once?
To be honest, I kind of wish I had just read the new one cold so I would know what it was like that way - I suspect it would probably be fine. OTOH, it starts not long after the end of Network Effect, so having that fresh in your mind is nice. I *like* rereading all of them but I doubt it's really necessary, as such.
I found myself thinking about Witch King as I was finishing up System Collapse, so I just rolled on and read that one again, too. I like it better every time I reread it.
T Kingfisher's Paladin's Faith (book 4 in the Saint of Steel series) is now available to pre-order on Amazon.
Sweet! Coming in December, not long too wait!
And there's new Naomi Kritzer, Liberty's Daughter. I was reading the short stories in this setting in a magazine back in the day (which was possibly not that long ago, I really don't remember when this was) and loooooved them, so I am very excited to get a novel!
Eta - should perhaps disclaim, has nothing to do with CatNet so far as I know
December!?!?!?! YAY!
Well, I clicked on that pre-order right away.
I read a book this week...it was strange, but I loved it. [link]
