-t it’s funny because I’ve definitely noticed that sort of pattern in romance novels too, and that’s why I read them. Their predictability is comforting to me, and my internal book clock is telling me that there should be more spice by now.

I am 100% that reader who periodically checks the % read indicator to see if it's time for the MCs to kiss yet.
