Zoe: What's that, sir? Mal: Freedom, is what. Zoe: No, I meant what's that? Mal: Oh. Yeah. Just step around it. I think something must've been living in here.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Pix, I'm so jealous, what a great list of writers! Especially Jacqueline Woodson.

Key West Literary Seminar

Driving to the dog park this morning NPR had a story on the Key West Literary Seminar! I may have said out loud that I knew someone there. It was in the top 5 stories at the top of the hour. It sounded like it was amazing.

What a delight to listen to her! I wondered how you were doing on the coldest night of the year!

I’ve started my reread of Ninth House. I listened to the audiobook the first time around. This time around I’m reading it on my kindle.

Next time read it in Braille! Then...have somebody relay the story to you via semaphore. And finally an interpretive dance.

Apparently if you're enough of a power nerd, there is nothing that cannot be flowcharted.

And finally an interpretive dance.

I feel like this would be a legit option at my library.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Would watch the interpretive dance version

Would probably also be interested in the semaphore version if I'm being honest. Although I probably would not make it through the whole thing.
