Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I liked both those Jane Harper books too!

Because books.

I love Deborah Crombie's series, and you could liken her to Louise Penny.

I am laughing at Dr Seward complaining about having to write his diary with a pen like a chump. Such a tech bro!

Man, I hate it when I read the Dracula Daily email on my phone and it cuts off at a point that seems like it could be the end of that day but the next day I have clearly missed A LOT because there was more post that I didn’t see.

So, really enjoyed Dracula Daily and mis it now that it's done for the year. Skimmed through some of the other serialized things that are available but nothing is grabbing me - I really like how the Dracula posts were tied to the date in the narrative and I'm not seeing anything else with that kind of organizing principle. Anyone signed up for anything they recommend?

Speaking of my looming TBR pile, I recently finally read By the Book - it's Jasmine Guillory so you know going in it's going to be good but all the little Beauty and the Beast flourishes are particularly delightful

Our wings are not tired.

Awww I’ll tell her! I haven’t read it but it’s on my coffee table ready for Thanksgiving break.

Eeee, have successfully downloaded At the Feet of the Sun! That was more challenging than it needed to be, only because gmail helpfully filed the email notice that it was ready in Updates where I did not see it, and when I searched for it I kept using the author;s name instead of the title which didn't find me the email notice either. But I have it now! Reportedly even longer then The Hands of the Emperor, so I expect to be buried in my e-reader a great deal of the time for a while...
