I hadn't heard of it before, and I was only vaguely aware of Richard Osman. I guess the second one set some kind of record for sales? Something.

Anyway, haven't seen Only Murders in the Building yet but from the ads I can see where there might be kinship

I had no idea of the tallness. Okay!

There's a 45 minute conversation included at the end of The Thursday Murder Club between him and another author whose name I didn't catch but she wrote The Grown-ups, I think? It's also a good listen. So at this point that is mostly how I know him, I suppose.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

If you're reading - or rereading - Dune before the release of the new film, I found this essay worth a look.

Not rereading, (I think I remember enough from my last reread? That may be foolish, we shall see) but that looks fascinating
