You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

Yippee!

Because books.

I loved The Once and Future Witches so much, I want to shout it from rooftops and give copies to every woman I know. If you haven't read it, and you're up for a gloriously fierce celebration of womanhood that is so especially relevant right now, READ IT.

I just finished Sarah Tolmie's The Fourth Island. I want to shove it at my friend Helen, who is from Ireland, and talk about how it reminds me of everything from the Irish play series she and her husband were presenting in the Before Times.
