Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Now tagless for your comfort.

Another book set in Scotland, My Heart's in the Highlands. Reviewer liked it a lot.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I thought that it might have a certain appeal to some of the Buffistas.

For Dread Nation and Deathless Divide - I came across information about Mary E. Pleasant and wondered if one of the characters was based on/inspired by her.

I'm reading T. Kingfisher's Bread Mage book and it's of course entirely charming. She's so good.

No gnoles so far! Everyone in this one appears to be human. Except for the sourdough starter, and the gingerbread man...

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Bread Mage made me cry, although some of that may be down to all the everything. Still, another really good T. Kingfisher book filled with well drawn characters. And some stuff genuinely surprised me, which can be fun.
