Damn it! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt monkey!

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I'm loading SC on my kindle now!

I've been reading magazines. It's been a lot easier to pick up and put down as my brain as been all over the place, struggling with longer reads.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

This is why I've been reading YA and Star Trek novels...

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Fanfic, y'all. Fanfic.

Yep yep. All of the above, and romance novels.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Fanfic, y'all. Fanfic.

Seriously all I've been reading for MONTHS. I have a pile of books from the library glaring balefully at me, and yet I am re-reading fanfic like it's my second job.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Thrive to spite them

I am just plowing away at fanfic. I keep staying in my comfort categories but that is all I'm reading.

Although I keep stumbling on stories that I didn't check to see if they were finished and getting really into something that hasn't been updated in years.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Romance novels and fanfic are essential services.

Because books.

I've been reading Cat Sebastian and delving into some historical romance I've never tried. I want to get Slippery Creatures, but I still have a bunch of KJ Charles I haven't read yet. I think I'm afraid I won't love any as much as I loved the Society of Gentlemen series.

I also need to get back to Tyack and Frain!
