Now hold on, I'm gonna press the right pedal harder. I expect us to accelerate.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Very interesting, Shir!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

OK, I'll read that.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I recommended it for purchase by my library.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

If you've been missing the Buffyverse (and/or just want a fun, quick -- if not slightly predictable -- read), Kiersten White's Slayer is pretty good. IIRC, it's the first in a series, and I liked Slayer enough that I'll read the rest.

I put a hold on Slayer at the library and checked out her first book in her Conqueror series, "And I Darken."

Because books.

(I'm going to be a five-year-old for a minute and say I don't like her because she was mean to me when we were on a book tour together.)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I just got an email that my copy of Slayer is ready for pick up. I was there 3 hours ago and it wasn't there.

Well, pooh, Amy, I'm totally going to hold that against her!

I'll probably read Slayer eventually, but I will scowl a little when I see the author's name.
