Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
I have an old children's book that was my mom's and the doll in it is named Araminta.
I checked Google Books Ngram viewer - which plots the frequency of words in Google Books over time - and the first use of "Araminta" is in 1709 - [link] .
FWIW.
Remember Cockygate? well, in corporate news, P&G Wants to Trademark LOL and Other Millennial Phrases.
Todd, I just read that about 15 minutes ago in our local news (P&G is headquartered here), and my exact reaction was "...didn't Cockygate put an end to this nonsense???"
There was also the author who tried to trademark "dragon slayer" ... don't think that ever went anywhere.
I wonder if anyone at P&G remembers when their logo was rumored to be satanic.
oh, I'd forgotten about that!

Oh yeah. They do. And they get really salty if you bring it up. (Source: I know several P&Gers and like to stir the pot.)
Does anyone here want a nice hardcover copy of Isabel Allende's an Infinite Plan? I picked it up at the library bookstore the other day and then realized I already owned it.
