Whee! The b.org LibraryThing book count has updated (11266) and so has the Zeitgeist page.
Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
OK. Cuecatting my books in is fun.
Now I want a DVDThing and a CDThing.
I also want a BooksI'veReadButDon'tOwnThing.
I also want a BooksI'veReadButDon'tOwnThing.
I've been going through my Suggestions and adding the one's I've read but don't own to my Catalog with a ReadNotOwn tag. I'm not sure it's a good idea, but I can't stop myself.
Yeah, I'm sorely tempted to do the same thing myself. Particularly since I already keep a record of the books I read, and it would be SO handy to have that info in a database like LibraryThing...
(OMG, stop the madness! At least until I don't have Actual Library School Homework to do anymore!)
I can't do that. Throwing the count off would really bug me. It might be worth setting up a separate account for that, though.

Oh, I like that idea even better!
I actually was looking at other people's libraries and there was one guy who does add books he's read but doesn't own or no longer owns. (He tags them that way.)
I've discovered a strong Puritan streak that says I can't claim books I don't have physical possession of or can't confirm physical possesson.
I'm the same. In fact, books that I know I've possessed within the last year and have possibly loaned out to negligent friends - these books are not going on my list until I reclaim them.
Ooh, separate account. Hmm.
