I wasn't fond of the Dresdens I read, though I was very very fond of the series, for three reasons: Terrence Mann, Paul Blackthorne, and Harry's storefront loft. Green Card is a favorite movie of mine, because of the apartment. The Dresden tv series was a favorite for the same reason. Plus, you know, Terrence Mann.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
Pix, I really enjoyed The Rook! I'm waiting eagerly for the next one now.
Read-and-post: Harry Dresden calls his car "Blue Beetle"? AWESOME.
I've started Code Name Verity and what the fuck is this book holy shit it's so great and it's going to destroy all my emotions isn't it.

Yes, it is. So good.
I'm kind of surprised I haven't heard that it's been optioned yet. OTOH it would be hella hard to adapt.
Yes, it's a great book, and you are going to be a sobbing mess.
Yes, you will flail and gibbber and drool with envy at the writing.
Have fun!
I'm doing the audiobook so I get to hear the Scottish! I already love the narrative voice.

Very cool! I was already excited when I realized that was from my local. (Edit: Which I did NOT realize from the byline, because I am a skimmy skimmer who skims.)
