This is EVIL I tell you.
It's 8 pm and I haven't eaten dinner because I just wanted to test it and...140 books later (many unreads *sob*)...I just took the nearby bookcases and the "stacks." And discovered I have 2 copies of two books. I suspect it is my parents' fault.
I have 2 books I couldn't find anywhere else and one that only I have so far.
I finally had to PUT THE CAT AWAY and make dinner. Not getting it back out tonight. Nope. Nuh-uh.
I pulled out another box of college textbooks to enter before I left for work. If anything, it's forcing me to find out just what exactly is in all those boxes under my bed.
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Curse you all.
OK. I can rationalize this because I need to start packing, and then insuring.
I just mentioned over in Natter that I'm thinking about stopping at Borders tomorrow to see if they're doing any hiring. This could be dangerous for me. I'll have to keep repeating to myself, "You're doing this to pay off bills, you're doing this to pay off bills..."
I keep thinking
whatever happened to that book
and recall that I've either returned it to the parents or bought it for someone and read it first and thinking I should really get myself a co....NO.
I am out of bookshelves. I am nearly out of places for bookshelves. Half the books I have are probably still TBR. I went through a point where I was only reading one-read books I didn't keep. But I kept getting books I wanted to read and keep! And now they mock me. It's intimidating.
Pay the bills, not buy the books.
I found another duplicate that I had NO IDEA about. Anybody want a copy of
Beirut Blues,
Sebastian Junger's
Fire
or Alvarez's
Before We Were Free?
I'd love to take Fire, sarameg.
