The first two Enright books are here--so quickly! Unfortunately, they're later in the series, so I'm not going to read them yet. I read the first few pages, and so far they hold up nicely. Not twee, not simplistic, straightforward and pleasant.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
I had a great time at the Joe Hill signing tonight. Pictures are on facebook starting here. I'm kicking myself for not bringing any books other than the one that was just released. He was willing to sign up to three, and if you wanted to go back to the end of the line after that, he would sign more. Such a genuine, nice guy.

Guess who is working up the courage to email Anne Rice's publicist asking for an interview? BECAUSE WHY THE HELL NOT?
The worst they can say is no! Do it!!
Go Jilli!
Go Jilli! Go Jilli!
Sent the email. I feel like I need to create some sort of summoning circle out of all the copies of her books I own.
Yeah, that sounds right.
Go, Jilli! I hope she says yes.
