Wesley: All right. I'm going to let you all in on something you may have trouble comprehending. I assure you however-- Gunn: Vampires are real. Wesley: I was telling!

'The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco'

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I hope they go with talented semi-knowns, rather than someone with Hiddleston-level recognition. I kind of dread fandom reaction if a fandom darling gets cast.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Yeah, I saw a made-up poster with Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hiddleston and rolled my eyes so hard they almost fell off.

The Aziraphale in my head has always looked like circa-Pygmalion Leslie Howard. Not sure which contemporary actor would fit that bill.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Pulp the Classics.

Hey. New board.

Fandom may worship them, but to the rest of the world both Hiddleston and Cumberbatch definitely qualify as talented semi-knowns.

If they cast Brad Pitt and Will Smith, on the other hand... (Though Brad Pitt could actually make a pretty amazing Crowley if he channeled the right parts of his abilities.)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Yeah, I saw a made-up poster with Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hiddleston and rolled my eyes so hard they almost fell off.

That's ridiculous, there can't be two Crowleys.

I always pictured Aziraphale as Michael Caine for some reason.

Gris - Dec 13, 2013 8:28:15 am PST #21737 of 28370
Hey. New board.

Michael Caine has never been bumbling enough in my knowledge of him to fit my mental Aziraphale image.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

David Hyde Pierce would make a good Aziraphale.

Hey. New board.

Ooh, that's a good one!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

David Hyde Pierce would make a good Aziraphale.

I could totally see that. On the other hand, to totally cast against type, I'd love to see Kenneth Brannagh play Aziraphale. He'd have to dial the "hello, it is ME, the AWESOME ONE" way back, of course. Way way back. Further . . . further . . . no we can still see it from space. OK, it would be a challenge.

And maybe get the guy who plays Thorin Hottieshield as Crowley? *runs to IMDB* Right, Richard Armitage.
