How involved a process is it to put Kobo books on Kindle? Kobo is having a really good sale, but I can't find a clear explanation of what sort of wrangling I'd have to do to get the books onto the Kindle.
Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
Can calibre reformat them?
Amazon is having a ridiculous Cyber Monday Kindle sale, and nearly all of Octavia Butler is $1.99 each (with great deals for the omnibuses). Also a lot of Dorothy Sayers.
I haven't the foggiest, Jilli, but the local independent bookstore down here (Mysterious Galaxy - you met several of them at your signing at Comic-Con) sells Kobos, so might be able to give you some idea, or at least point you to someone who knows. (ph# 858-268-4747)
Jilli, do they have DRM?
Calibre is a free program that can easily convert book formats. It can also handle DRM but you have to download some extensions and so it's slightly more complex.
Kindle books have DRM.
This post is a great guide to making sure that all your books can be read on all your ereaders.
Ah-ha! Thank you very much.
Calibre is wonderful.
No prob, Jilli. I'm glad I had to look for it, because I had apparently failed to bookmark the original post, and it's so useful!
Calibre rules all.
